These novels have a high word count of 80,000 to 90,000 words and the book sizes are typically smaller. Adult book themes are numerous such as mystery, horror, romance, and sci-fi, though they will typically follow an older protagonist and if they are not, the narrator of the novel is looking back on their life when they were young.
