Summary: Book 6 in the Ranger's Apprentice series, Will, Horace, and a group of shipwreck Skandians faced with a tough task of taking back a kingdom taken over by a vengeful knight. Not only does the fate of Araluen hang in the balance due to the knight conspiring with another kingdom who wants to invade Araluen, but someone Will loves is being held hostage. If the group does not work quickly then the whole kingdom will be invaded and Will's friend will never be seen again.
Suggested age rating: 13+ based on minor language, some romance, and substance abuse.
Review: The book had a lighter feel to it then its predecessor which gave it a more likeness to the original books in the series. The character development and the bonds the characters have with each other really made this book stand out as well. Overall the book was entertaining until the very last page and made a decent read.

Indecency/Sex: A woman kisses a couple of men on their cheeks, a woman and man kiss.
Violence and Gore: Characters fight with differing weapons, many men are killed and die which is described in detail.
Frightening Scenes: Illusions are used to create fake demons and monsters.

Spiritual Content: A group of people believe in gods, mentions of the devil and demons.
