Summary: Book 2 in the Kingdom Keepers Inheritance series, the Overtakers or Disney villains are up to their old tricks again which involves casting a spell on the CEO of the Walt Disney Company to construct their very own lands in all of the parks, a villain's realm. To make matters worse, Ursula has hired a chemist to recreate Walt's ink which will allow the Overtakers to once again travel between any park of their choosing and spread their dark desires of total destruction of good magic. With the help of the Fairy Godmother, Eli, Blair, and the rest of the children of the Kingdom Keepers seek to break the spell before the Villains' Realms are completed and prevent the chemist from finishing the ink that would bring an end to the parks.
Suggested age rating: 9+ based on minor action and fighting sequences and the use of light and dark magic.
Review: I've been a fan of the Kingdom Keepers since I was first introduced to them ten years ago and they continue to be my favorite series of all time. That being said, I was extremely happy to see the third series continue, and even though it was an amazing book with an excellent storyline, I felt the ending was a little lackluster. Even with the ending not being as excellent as I would've hoped, I couldn't wait to read the next chapter and see what was going to happen as the characters are instantly likable as they follow in their parents' footsteps and battle the Disney villains. Anyone loving Disney and the magic behind their stories should definitely pick this book up and give it a read because the imagination the author puts into this book makes it another great story in the Kingdom Keepers series.
