Review: Loving to learn anything related to Walt Disney Imagineering, I found it incredibly fascinating to read the contributions made by each woman featured in the narrative. Each woman brought her unique perspective and skill set to the table, creating an expansive set of experiences that highlighted the multifaceted nature of their journeys. The challenges they faced were not only obstacles but also pivotal moments that shaped their character and professional paths. It was particularly interesting to read about the specific instances that tested their limits, whether it was navigating workplace dynamics, overcoming societal expectations, or balancing personal and professional responsibilities. On the other hand, I found certain aspects of the narrative less engaging, particularly the use of unnecessary strong language that seemed to overshadow the core messages. Additionally, the discussions surrounding their journeys to the Disney company could have benefited from more specific instances where they contributed instead of just discussing thee general departments and projects they worked on. Overall, while the themes of empowerment were significant, a more balanced approach could have made the narrative more engaging and informative. Though these gender-based obstacles tended to overshadow these amazing women's contributions, these personal stories did add a layer of depth to their experiences, allowing me to connect with their struggles and triumphs on a more intimate level. Therefore, anyone looking to get a closer glimpse on what it was like to be a female in Imagineering in the years 1960 to 2015 should definitely give this book a read as if it wasn't for these women, the Disney parks and resorts would not be the same as they are today.
